Car network

The Car network exists since the beginning of the 80s and organises workers from the car industry in Germany. The workers, both from car producers and suppliers, meet twice a year to exchange information on strategies of companies and their labour conditions, how to respond to changes and support each other’s actions and negotiations.

The network mobilises workers from Volkswagen, Ford, Daimler Chrysler, General Motors and their suppliers. Even though the network is based in Germany, there are regular contacts with workers and trade unions from Spain, Belgium and France. These international contacts have resulted in international support activities and common actions.
